1. Cookies and similar storage
Cookies are small values stored by a website in your browser. Local storage, scripts and similar technologies can also store or access information on your device. FNB uses storage for sign-in, security, privacy choices and requested appearance settings.
2. Sign-in and protected-beta access
Supabase authentication uses first-party session cookies with names beginning sb- and ending in -auth-token; long values may be split into numbered cookie chunks. They support your FNB sign-in session. The installed authentication library sets a default cookie lifetime of up to 400 days and can refresh the cookies; this is not a guarantee that a sign-in code or access token is valid for that period. Signing out removes the FNB session on that browser. Browser rules can shorten storage periods.
The beta also requires Vercel sign-in. Vercel's deployment-protection and account services may set their own security cookies and storage, including deployment-access cookies where applicable. Their identifiers and expiry depend on that service and account configuration. Vercel access is separate from an FNB account. Essential access/security storage is not controlled by FNB's optional-analytics choice.
3. FNB preferences on your device
fnb-theme: first-party local storage remembering your chosen Day or Night appearance. It is saved when you make that choice. Selecting System removes the saved preference and follows your device setting. It is used for the requested display setting, not advertising or analytics.fnb-privacy-analytics-v1: first-party local storage recording whether you accepted or rejected optional analytics. It is saved when you submit a choice in Privacy settings, including a rejection.
These local-storage values have no built-in expiry. They remain until you change or clear them, the application replaces its preference version, or your browser removes them. A sign-out does not clear your display or privacy preferences. Blocking storage can stop preferences from persisting between visits.
4. Optional measurement and advertising
Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights are currently disabled for FNB. The current protected beta does not load them, even if you save an acceptance preference. There are no FNB advertising trackers or active advertising integrations.
If optional measurement is enabled later, the application's current controls require a public-site configuration and an opt-in choice. Measurement is limited to supported public routes; account/admin/login/notification routes are excluded. The application removes search terms, URL query strings and fragments from events and replaces individual vent URL identifiers with a generic route. This is a data-minimisation measure, not a guarantee that every provider measurement is anonymous.
The notice and preference version must be updated if the provider, purpose or required choice changes. No optional tracking is necessary to post, react, vote or use your account. The planned venting-machine subscription is not an active tracker or payment service.
5. Manage your choices
Use the Privacy settings button in the site footer to reject optional analytics or save your chosen setting. Optional analytics begins off. Rejecting it does not stop required authentication or security storage and does not reset your chosen appearance.
If measurement is enabled in a future version, withdrawing permission stops the application loading it on subsequent page views. A previously loaded script may remain active in the current page until you reload; a preference change does not erase information already received by a provider.
You can view, delete or block cookies and local storage through your browser. Clearing them may sign you out or reset your choices. FNB does not control storage used by a social platform or support site after you choose to open it.
6. Third parties and content sharing
Vercel hosts and protects the beta, Supabase provides authentication and the database, Resend delivers server-generated emails, and OpenAI processes content for moderation and category/hashtag suggestions. Server-side email and AI processing are described in the Privacy Notice; rejecting optional analytics does not switch those service functions off.
The Share control can hand a vent link to your device's share sheet or copy it. FNB does not embed a social-platform advertising pixel to provide that control. If you open a shared link or visit a third-party service, that service may use its own storage under its policies.
7. Updates and contact
We will update this notice when the actual storage, providers or purposes change. For privacy questions, contact privacy@pettypettythings.com or write to Petty Petty Things Ltd, 207 Regent Street, London, W1B 3HH, UK.
