FNB policies

House Rules & Community Guidelines

FNB is a place for honest feelings, everyday frustrations and difficult experiences. These rules keep it kind and safe for everyone.

House Rules at a glance

  1. Protect privacy. No real names, contact details, usernames, identifying locations, faces, addresses, plates or private messages. Use a short description instead.
  2. No bullying or hate. Don’t threaten, harass, target protected groups, encourage harm, or share sexual exploitation. Strong feelings are welcome; attacks on people are not.
  3. Listen first. Don’t offer fixes or diagnoses unless someone asks. No spam or promotion.

How safety checks work

Vents, poll questions and choices, and Echoes are checked before publication. Some stay private for human review. Image uploads are unavailable; legacy images keep their existing review controls. Sign in to flag a published vent or Echo, or block an account. Your reports and block list are private. Respect the author’s reply preference, including Just listen.

Need support now?

FNB is not an emergency or crisis service, and reports are not monitored in real time. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. For confidential support, find a helpline in your country.

Full Community Guidelines

Last updated: 6 October 2026

FeelNeverBetter is operated by Petty Petty Things Ltd, 207 Regent Street, London, W1B 3HH, UK. These rules apply to vents, polls, Echoes, reactions and other community activity. They accompany the Terms of Use.

1. Be kind to the people here

You can be sad, angry, fed up or uncertain. You do not have to pretend everything is fine. Disagreement is allowed; targeted abuse is not. Do not bully, repeatedly harass, humiliate, intimidate or stalk someone, encourage attacks, make credible threats, or exploit someone who is distressed.

Members can share their own experiences. Profiles with a bot icon labelled “Fictional starter profile” are FNB-created fictional characters whose checked conversations may use AI. Do not mistake them for real people's experiences. Members can Echo, save and react to those vents; fictional characters do not contact members or act as counsellors.

2. Protect privacy

Do not post real names, identifying usernames, contact details, addresses, identifying locations, faces, vehicle plates, passwords, private messages or confidential medical/financial information about yourself or another person. Use a non-identifying description. This applies to poll questions and choices as well as vents and Echoes. A pseudonym does not make identifying text confidential.

Published content is visible to people able to access the site, including people signed out of FNB. The beta also requires Vercel access for now. A public release can make published vents and their share links open to anyone. Think about the audience before posting or sharing a link.

3. Listen first and respect the reply choice

Do not offer fixes, diagnoses or personal instructions unless advice is welcome. A vent's author can choose Just listen, Tell me I’m not alone, Share your experience, Advice welcome, Make me laugh or I don’t know.

For Just listen, use “I hear you,” “Sit with you” or “Send support.” For other vents, choose an Echo prompt and respond briefly, normally one to three sentences. “I feel this too,” “I’ve felt this before,” “This reminded me of…” and “I want you to know…” are invitations to connect, not to take over the conversation. Sharing an experience is not professional advice. Make me laugh is not permission to mock, shame or target somebody.

4. Talking about difficult feelings is allowed

You may discuss loneliness, stress, grief, relationships, addiction, depression, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, trauma and other difficult experiences without being automatically excluded for the topic. Context matters. Automated checks may still hold a submission for review and can make mistakes.

Do not encourage, glorify, pressure or challenge someone into suicide or self-injury, or provide harmful methods or instructions. Supportive discussion and recovery experiences are welcome within these rules.

5. FNB is not an emergency service

FNB is not a medical, counselling or crisis service. Reports are not monitored continuously and email alerts are not emergency dispatch. Reviewers intend to check morning and evening in UK time, subject to availability; there is no guaranteed response deadline.

If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact emergency services directly. In the UK, call 999 for an immediate threat to life. For other support, find a helpline in your country.

6. No threats or encouragement of violence

Do not make credible threats, encourage or organise serious violence, provide instructions to harm somebody, or celebrate serious harm to an identifiable person. Serious concerns may be reviewed and escalated where lawful; discussing distress does not automatically cause emergency-service contact.

7. No sexual exploitation or abuse

Child sexual abuse material, sexual exploitation, non-consensual intimate images, threats to distribute them, coercion, trafficking and other illegal sexual material are prohibited. Image uploads are currently unavailable; that does not permit harmful descriptions, links or text. Relevant authorities may be notified where required or permitted by law.

8. No hate or discriminatory abuse

Do not threaten, harass or abuse people because of race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or other protected characteristics. Difficult or controversial subjects can be discussed without targeting a person or group.

9. No illegal activity, scams or spam

Do not use FNB to meaningfully facilitate terrorism, child exploitation, serious violence, trafficking, fraud, unlawful threats or illegal sales. Do not scam users, spam, deceptively impersonate people, steal credentials, distribute malware, scrape without permission or evade enforcement. Unauthorised automated accounts and manufactured engagement are prohibited. FNB's labelled fictional conversations are authorised starter content, not ordinary member accounts.

10. Posting and polls

The current vent limit is 500 characters. Polls have two to five distinct choices; only signed-in members can vote. Poll text is subject to the same privacy, conduct and automated safety checks as the vent. Do not use polls to single out, shame or expose someone.

FNB uses OpenAI to suggest categories and hashtags and to check submitted text. Suggestions may be wrong; they are not diagnoses. If a category cannot be chosen clearly, the vent goes to Others. “Bomb it,” “Launch it,” “Bin it” and “Poof!” are posting animations: each posts the vent, subject to checks. Bin it does not discard the draft.

11. Reporting and blocking

Use the flag control on a published vent or Echo after signing in to send a report or block an account. A signed-out visitor is prompted to sign in. Your report details and block list are private. Blocking limits what you see and the interactions allowed by the service; it is not a promise to remove all external copies or prevent someone seeing publicly available material through another account.

A report queues a private case-link email to the authorised reviewers. The alert does not include the reported post, reporter identity or your free-text details; reviewers access evidence in the restricted admin console. A report may still be stored even if email delivery is delayed.

12. Moderation and human review

Vents, poll questions/choices and Echoes are checked before publication. Some stay private while awaiting review; some are blocked. Checks cannot detect every real name or understand every context. Editing a vent triggers new checks. Any legacy image is subject to its existing review controls; new uploads remain unavailable.

Authorised admins can review reports and held content, remove or restore visibility and suspend accounts. Decisions should consider context and these rules. Automated suggestions and moderator decisions can be mistaken; compliance and perfect safety are not guaranteed.

13. Concerns and appeals

If you disagree with a content or account decision, you may write to Petty Petty Things Ltd, 207 Regent Street, London, W1B 3HH, UK, including the relevant vent link or decision. There is currently no in-app appeal button. Use emergency services for immediate danger rather than relying on an FNB complaint.

14. Deletion and sharing

You can delete your own vent or Echo while your account owns it. Deleting a vent removes its conversation and poll; deleting an Echo clears its text and leaves responses and a deletion marker. Deleting an account leaves its pseudonymous profile, vents and Echoes in place, disconnecting the active account/email link. Delete individual content first if you want its normal visible text removed. Personal information in retained content is subject to privacy rights; see the Privacy Notice, or send a privacy request to privacy@pettypettythings.com.

Members and visitors can share a published vent's link. Protected-beta links still require Vercel access. Outside platforms or recipients may retain screenshots or copies; FNB cannot recall those when content is removed here. Share respectfully and avoid using somebody's vent to ridicule or target them.

15. Help protect the space

The intended community age is 18 and over. The current email-code flow is not an age-assurance system. Do not encourage a child to bypass restrictions.

Be honest about your feelings, keep identifying details out, and give people the support they asked for. The planned venting-machine perks are not an active paid membership and do not exempt anyone from these rules.

See the Terms of Use, Privacy Notice and Cookie Notice. Privacy questions can be sent to privacy@pettypettythings.com.
